Jamie Devine - Vocal Coach, Acoustic Guitar Teacher, Electric Guitar Teacher
Jamie Devine is a 31-year-old professional singer, guitarist, music producer, vocal coach, guitar coach and TV producer based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and nationally. At a young age, he discovered his love for music and later went onto perform his own shows at O2 Academy Newcastle, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and many local venues as well as radio stations around North East England singing a wide variety of styles.
Jamie has studied music extensively throughout his career including Artist Development at Access To Music in York, and London Centre of Contemporary Music working with artists who have appeared on national TV and radio.
Jamie is committed to providing a fun and friendly approach to singing lessons and developing the skills of each student lesson by lesson with each session tailored for maximum progress to reach goals. He teaches all ages from beginners who have never done music before through to advanced musicians. Improvement can be expected every lesson. Jamie teaches singing lessons, guitar lessons and music production lessons.
He has worked personally with some of the most sought after music experts in the world including Seth Riggs in person at his Los Angeles studio, Brett Manning and Claude McKnight of Take 6. Jamie has recorded in many top recording studios including the world-famous Clear Lake Recording Studios in Hollywood, California.
His unique and rare ability to unlock each students potential is clear from the outset. Jamie loves building the confidence of his students and specialises in the development of style, stage presence, impeccable vocal/instrument technique as well as getting the best performance in the recording studio.

Mary McCrisken - Piano Teacher
Mary has been teaching the piano for many years, initially at the age of sixteen and then again from 2005 'til present. She has enjoyed a fulfilling nursing career in between times. She retired from nursing a year ago and now devotes her time to teaching. Mary teaches students from pre school age through to adults. Many of her students have attended from being at primary school until leaving to attend university.
Mary teaches mainly classical music but encourages students to choose pieces to play which they enjoy. This is often current/contemporary music.
Mary can teach purely for the fun of the piano and cover students favourite music. Mary has also been preparing students for exams using both ABRSM and Trinity London exam boards. She has 100% pass rate over a fourteen year period. Exams are not compulsory as some students prefer to play for their enjoyment.
Mary is a firm believer that piano lessons should be fun as this approach is more likely to be engaging for students.

Keira Woodger - Piano Teacher
Keira is a second year music student at Newcastle University. With a belief that learning should be an enjoyable journey, she infuses her lessons with excitement and creativity using a diverse range of techniques to keep students engaged and motivated. Her lessons are tailor-made for each student, which enables them to unlock their full potential. Whether the student wants to follow a graded syllabus or try out different genres of music, Keira can guide them towards achieving their goals. She specialises in the ABRSM graded syllabus, having achieved her Grade 8, so she is well-versed in the keys to attaining the top marks in these exams. As such, Keira can teach the piano for all ages at any level, and looks forward to seeing where each student’s musical journey takes them!

Ben Strange - Guitar Teacher
Ben is a 26-year-old guitarist based in York, offering lessons online and in-person. Having played guitar from the age of ten, Ben is an accomplished musician and guitar player. Ben teaches all genres and although he specialises in acoustic, light rock and rock, he loves to teach the pop music spectrum, having played in multiple groups including a Fleetwood Mac cover band.
Ben is a qualified primary school teacher and holds a BA in Music, with a knack for delivering results-based lessons that ensure quick progress. He can tailor lessons to a student’s needs, whether they are playing for fun or want to become an expert. His lessons are suitable for beginners to more advanced players.
Ben is also an experienced songwriter, composer and producer, and if students require advice on aspects of these disciplines, he is more than happy to help out.

Louis Allen - Piano Teacher
Louis is a second year politics student at Durham University. Having learnt the piano from a young age, he believes the most progress can be made when lessons inspire an inner desire to improve and progress to the next stages. He therefore structures his lessons for each student to be able to achieve the most of their potential whilst still keeping them fun and enjoyable.
Louis is well-versed with the structures of ABRSM grades, having passed Grade 8 with distinction and currently progressing to an ARSM diploma. He particularly enjoys classical piano, but has experience of contemporary music through playing in various bands and musicals. He therefore invites students of any age, any level and any genre to come forward and bring their piano playing to the next level!

Liam Oliver - Guitar Teacher
Liam is a guitarist and beatmaker/producer based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, having recently graduated from Newcastle University with a First Class BA with Honours in Contemporary and Popular Music. Growing up in Bristol prior to his university studies, he has a wide-ranging, eclectic musical taste, encompassing genres from jazz and rock to reggae and hip hop. He first picked up a guitar at age 8 and has seldom put it down since! This love of music and versatility on his instrument has enabled him to perform with various acts at events and venues across the country, including Wireless (Birmingham), Love Saves the Day (Bristol), Kelburn Garden Party (Scotland) and the Glasshouse (Gateshead.) He currently plays guitar for original Newcastle-based acts Last Orders and Osaka Jo.
Liam teaches all ages, abilities and musical interests – we all get into music for different reasons, but fundamentally we all want to have fun. As such, he is passionate about inspiring students, believing an engaging teacher can make all the difference in allowing students to feel more connected to the music they love. Whether you want to learn to play along to your favourite songs, improvise on the guitar with confidence or refine your skills for formal/graded examination (including music theory and ear training), Liam can guide a student to excel and achieve their goals, whatever they may be.
