Guitar Lessons with Liam Oliver

from £17.50

Liam is a guitarist and beatmaker/producer based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, having recently graduated from Newcastle University with a First Class BA with Honours in Contemporary and Popular Music. Growing up in Bristol prior to his university studies, he has a wide-ranging, eclectic musical taste, encompassing genres from jazz and rock to reggae and hip hop. He first picked up a guitar at age 8 and has seldom put it down since! This love of music and versatility on his instrument has enabled him to perform with various acts at events and venues across the country, including Wireless (Birmingham), Love Saves the Day (Bristol), Kelburn Garden Party (Scotland) and the Glasshouse (Gateshead.) He currently plays guitar for original Newcastle-based acts Last Orders and Osaka Jo.

Liam teaches all ages, abilities and musical interests – we all get into music for different reasons, but fundamentally we all want to have fun. As such, he is passionate about inspiring students, believing an engaging teacher can make all the difference in allowing students to feel more connected to the music they love. Whether you want to learn to play along to your favourite songs, improvise on the guitar with confidence or refine your skills for formal/graded examination (including music theory and ear training), Liam can guide a student to excel and achieve their goals, whatever they may be. Lessons suitable for all ages and abilities.
